Hello, everyone! 👋 We are Elsa and Jacob Fokken of Sioux Falls, SD. Welcome to our humble kombucha life! How did we get here? This is our story:

In February of 2020, Jacob had the idea to start his own kombucha business. He had been brewing at home for a while, and also had the opportunity to craft kombucha for the local co op where he worked. After Elsa lost her job to the pandemic, these brand new parents decided to take a wild chance on a wild idea. We began experimenting with five gallon batches in the basement of our duplex. When we told some dear friends about our newest daydream, they offered us a small room in the back of their bakery to officially lauch our business. They encouraged us to apply for our local Farmer`s Market, starting just three months from the time we shared our vision with them. It`s then that we realized that with determination and a LOT of help from our friends, our dream could become a reality. The next theee months were a WHIRLWIND of jumping through hoops, testing, trying, failing, and trying again. We were accepted into the Farmer`s Market. We took 25 gallons on our first day. To our suprise, it sold out!

We still serve at the Farmer`s Market every Saturday, except now we go through nearly 100 gallons every weekend! We also opened our own brewery/fill station, got married, and now have THREE happy healthy babies (who all love kombucha).

We truly love what we do, and cannot wait to keep growing this wild idea. 💘

Summer is a reminder of all things warm. Basking in the sun, hearing the bees buzz by, and sipping on a cracked open coconut (if you’re lucky!😉)

TOASTED COCONUT is a tasty blend of local wildflower honey & freshly toasted coconut that gives off hints of vanilla and the perfect amount of nuttiness. Spread it on some toast, scoop it into your smoothies, or just enjoy it by the spoonful! We also have made a peanut butter AND an almond butter version.🥰

Our first batch will be sold at the Falls Park Farmers Market so come and see us from 8-1!

This first month of the farmers market has been so rewarding. I’m so thankful for this chance to see the Sioux Falls Community each Saturday morning. I couldn’t be living this dream without such a supportive community. It’s not always easy, but man, it’s truly become a part of life that I can’t imagine not having. Thank you all so so much! 💚
