By fallspark, July 29th, 2011 | Comments Off on Sweet corn and tomatoes arrive

The taste of summer is sweet corn and tomatoes! Of course, that’s not all we’ve got down at the Farmer’s Market this week.
Along with great food and beautiful flowers, we’ll also have top notch entertainment performing on Saturday. Yuko Saito, a South Dakota Symphony Orchestra violinist, and musician Charley Smith will be bringing Irish tunes to the market.  You might even end up dancing a jig or two!
We also still have (in alphabetical order) beans, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, cucumbers, green onions, peas, peppers, potatoes, radishes, salad greens, squash, sweet corn, tomatoes and zucchini, all fresh and waiting to be picked up.
We’ll see you this Saturday, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m!

On top of that, we’ve got delicious meats, fresh baked goods, tasty coffee and some less edible, but still beautiful flowers.
Also, we’ll have Lori from the Natural Foods Co-op showing off some summer soups and our Sanford chef will feature produce from Klassen Farm.
Finally, Master Gardner Karin Woltjer will be discussing gardening from 9 am – 11 am. Last week she and Beverly were very busy, and Karin hopes this Saturday will be just as active.
