It’s Beginning to Taste Like Summer
What’s the thing you crave every summer? That one thing whose first bite says “Yeah, summer is here!” Is it that first ear of local sweet corn, slathered in butter? Or that big fresh tomato that you ate before you could even make a BLT?
Whatever your favorite taste of summer might be, you’ll find it at the Falls Park Farmers Market! The tomatoes and sweet corn are coming in. We’ve also got beans, onions, beets, summer squash, zucchini, potatoes, and so much more.
And how about some fresh carrots? Whether you like the traditional orange or the multi-colored varieties, they are in abundance at the Market. You can eat them fresh or we love them roasted with brown butter and sage. It’s super simple to make and tastes like a gourmet treat!
As always we have fresh flowers, baked goods and pasta. Stock up on local honey, amazing soaps and personal care products, sip on some coffee or herbal tea, or share a pizza.
What does summer taste like? Find out Saturday mornings from 8 AM to 1 PM in beautiful Falls Park.
Do you love onions, but hate the teary preparation? Try lighting a candle next to your chopping board for clearer vision!
Want to peel your tomatoes fast? Boil them for 20-30 seconds and then drop them into ice water. You’ll be able to pull the peels right off!
Love the punch of flavor that garlic gives your food but hate your breath afterwards? Sip a little lemon juice or to counteract the scent.
