Market opens May 6, Roasted Asparagus Recipe

Farmers Market season is here!

This Saturday kicks off the first Falls Park Farmers Market of the season. The farmers have done the dirty work and the first springtime goodies are ready for your picking.

Whether you steam it, roast it, or grill it, asparagus is a perfect side if you’re looking to keep the menu light. Another healthy and light side is cucumber. Serve them creamy, chopped, or plain. Cucumbers can be prepared quickly and easily for a fantastic spring salad, picnic or barbecue.

Craving some springtime color? A spring mix of flowers might be just the thing. Come check out the assortment of bedding plants, geraniums, combination planters, perennials, and succulents. Need some inspiration of what to do with your fresh picks? Visit with the vendors; they’re the experts.

The fresh goodies don’t stop there. Get your weekly supply of baked goods and pasta, stock up on amazing soaps and personal care products, sip on some coffee or herbal tea, or share a pizza.

Join us on Saturday, from 8am – 1pm, at Falls Park.
