Cool as a Cucumber!

f66bc2c6-af81-4986-b359-5ff7c8091cd8It’s going to be a warm one this Saturday, but at the Falls Park Farmers Market we’ll be as cool as a cucumber.  And as cool as radishes, lettuce and asparagus… well, you get the picture.

We’ll also be hot, with wood-fired pizzas, fresh coffee, herbal teas ready to brew, and Double L Bison has steaks ready for the grill. And have you met our new vendors? Heart of the City Gluten Free Bakery brings fresh baked goodies for people with gluten sensitivities. Sweetgrass Soaps makes handmade soaps. These days the Falls Park Farmers market has so much more than just fresh produce!

And it’s not too late to get plants for your garden or if you’re looking to brighten up your house, Alyssa’s Flowers always brings beautiful fresh cut, hand tied bouquets.

With so much to choose from, there’s no reason you can’t make the most of what summer has to offer this weekend. See you Saturday!

Do you love onions, but hate the teary preparation? Try lighting a candle next to your chopping board for clearer vision!

Want to peel your tomatoes fast? Boil them for 20-30 seconds and then drop them into ice water. You’ll be able to pull the peels right off!

Technically, the green bean is a fruit. The Supreme Court ruled in 1883 that it is a “fruit of the vine”. Fruit or veggie, they’re delicious!
