Melons have arrived!

IMG_0691There’s nothing quite like a good ear of freshly-picked sweet corn in the summer, and it complements grilled food perfectly. But it won’t be in season forever, so get your sweet corn while you can at the Falls Park Farmers Market this Saturday, 8am-1pm!

Another great summer crop is in season at the market as well – melons! Slice it, ball it, cube it, no matter how you dice it, a fresh melon from the Falls Park Farmers Market makes a great addition to your barbecues and picnics.

And don’t forget to pick up your tomatoes, peppers, beans, cabbage, cucumbers, garlic, eggplant, potatoes, squash, zucchini and much more!

Summer will be gone before you know it, so take advantage of it while you can and head down to the Falls Park Farmers Market this Saturday, 8am-1pm!

Did you know you can roast watermelon seeds and eat them like sunflower seeds? Juicy melons and crunchy seeds – all kinds of awesome snacks!

Feeling a bit under the weather? Ditch the oranges and go for peppers! Bell peppers contain even more vitamin C than citrus fruits!

Although they are vegetables, potatoes are a lot like rice, pasta and bread because they contain a lot of carbohydrates which can boost your mood!
